Students performed computational biology experiments and/or home biology experiments under Dr. Kim Monahan for three weeks in June, with computational assistance from Mr. Robert Gotwals and Dr. Linda Schmalbeck. Topics included Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Type II Diabetes mellitus, antibiotic resistance, pollinator sound waves, microplastic consumption, resource distribution, cellular repair, and computational modeling of ecological systems.
