Dr. Kim Monahan
Dr. Monahan has been at NCSSM for 9 years. This is her 4th year teaching Research in Biology. She earned her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the supervision of Dr. Ned Sharpless. She enjoys working with students and supporting them on their research projects.

Dr. Heather Mallory
Dr. Mallory has taught a range of classes at both the high school and college level focused on Ecology, Natural History, and Evolution. Her research experiences include studies of plant-insect interactions, developmental neurobiology, and learning and memory in insects. She has mentored Senior thesis projects in the past and is excited to support students in their research.
